An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Eyague in the 6th minute of play forced DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Rui Figueiras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo el Divague:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. León Careaga shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Rui Figueiras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Tercero in the 12th minute of play. Deportivo el Divague's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mădălin Penciulescu in the 13th minute. 13 minutes in the game, Aureliano Eyague dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 16th minute of the match, Alonzo Tercero tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rui Figueiras saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Aureliano Eyague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lode Van Hemel hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Wei Chao Yi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manolo Uquillas in the 28th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Aureliano Eyague shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Figueiras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo el Divague getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Apolo Banegas hit a great ball. Wei Chao Yi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from León Careaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manolo Uquillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Wei Chao Yi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Rui Figueiras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aureliano Eyague. After 43 played minutes DALO S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jerzy Lewandowski. Rui Figueiras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Tercero in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
