When Fabio Perez fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Constitución's protests and gave Fabio Perez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Veto Steller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Theodore in the 14th minute of play forced La Pachorra LSF's goalkeeper Eriberto Erlantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Veto Steller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportivo Constitución's Apolo Aguirre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Luís Fernando Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. La Pachorra LSF's Eriberto Erlantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Erico in the 44th minute of play. Sportivo Constitución's Apolo Aguirre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Constitución from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arsenio Erico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arsenio Ericos short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Eriberto Erlantz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Nelson Cuevas managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Pachorra LSF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Cuevas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Aguirre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arsenio Erico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Eriberto Erlantz made a huge save. Eriberto Erlantz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
