Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Miroslav Klose. But to his dismay, Miroslav Klose quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Kristopher Johnson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miroslav Klose in the 21st minute. Miroslav Klose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslav Klose in the 27th minute of play. After 34 minutes Consejo del Mate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bernardo Simões who took care of the corner kick. In the 40th minute, Ilídio Abrantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristopher Johnson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 46 played minutes Consejo del Mate got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Bidun. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miroslav Klose made a kick off. Fagildo Pamanes might have been able to make a better finish in the 50th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristopher Johnson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fagildo Pamanes ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Consejo del Mate's zone, Miroslav Klose stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal and Miroslav Klose tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Miroslav Klose notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti. Hugo Orlando Gatti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Freddy Bidun got a free kick in the 63rd minute. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. made a substitution. José Guimarães replaced Gigel Durbac. Kristopher Johnson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Kemen in the 70th minute. Kristopher Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fagildo Pamanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 77th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Bomba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Fagildo Pamanes hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Klose in the 85th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Peyo Fonelleda fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Kristopher Johnson. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Consejo del Mate's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Peyo Fonelleda kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 91stth minute. Though ot was a great shot QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s keeper Kristopher Johnson was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 92 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Miroslav Klose came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Consejo del Mate's Kristopher Johnson threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Peyo Fonelleda, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
