After taking down the ball on KFC Cromvelde's corner Cosmin Contra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gianluca Buffon quite easily take care of the ball. Jean-Louis Van Bever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ragnar Åberg in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Nevşehirspor's zone, Dé 武松 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gianluca Buffon came out of the goal and Dé 武松 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Nevşehirspor's Alesandro Nesta got a free kick in the 97th minute.

The Nevşehirspor players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
