Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Caskinha Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Vieira came free, but Leandro Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Caskinha Esporte Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely were winning 0-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Mei in the 51st minute of play forced Caskinha Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Leandro Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Carlos Mei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The supporters of Caskinha Esporte Clube booed when Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iván Zamorano in the 93rd minute of the match.

When the final whistle sounded Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Caskinha Esporte Clube.
