Feyenoord Malinovo's Rastislav Duch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Feyenoord Malinovo from getting a goal against them. A beautiful save bye De Pelgrims's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Gustaw Pawelczyk put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mike Zoetmulder. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Gašpar in the 13th minute of play. Perivaldo Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Rastislav Duch made a huge save. Rastislav Duch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 19th minute of the match. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Gašpar in the 21st minute of play. Mike Zoetmulder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaw Pawelczyk's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Mike Zoetmulder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaw Pawelczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rastislav Duch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 28th minute. Mathias de Ruijter might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rastislav Duch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathias de Ruijter ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Huub Gerrits hit a great ball. In the 35th minute of the match Eugen Petrov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mike Zoetmulder skillfully saved the ball. Rastislav Duch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Mathias de Ruijter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rastislav Duch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Feyenoord Malinovo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fu Peng Feng was slow to take the kick. During this time De Pelgrims's players had a chance to rest. De Pelgrims's Fu Peng Feng was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rastislav Duch in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dávid Mojžiš could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Mike Zoetmulder made a huge save. Feyenoord Malinovo's Rastislav Duch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Fu Peng Feng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Feyenoord Malinovo booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fu Peng Feng didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Feyenoord Malinovo's Peter Németh tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Németh got free with Mike Zoetmulder in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mike Zoetmulder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Németh in the 79th minute. Jan-Peter Kloppenburg kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Perivaldo Eger in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rastislav Duch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andreas den Ronden hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Fu Peng Feng managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Pelgrims's supporters rose to their feet, but Fu Peng Feng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rastislav Duch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rastislav Duch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 92nd minute of play. The score was 1-1 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Eugen Zoch in Feyenoord Malinovo was the one to initiate the kick off. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Petrov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-2 became the score in the 100th minute when Eugen Zoch elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The De Pelgrims supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Feyenoord Malinovo's performance. The match ended with a win for Feyenoord Malinovo.
