Ilkka Markkula came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Christian Almkvist. But to his dismay, Christian Almkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ilkka Markkula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Almkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan Estevan Hamdorf took the corner. Zhou Yao Si was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
