Jorge Vicente Soler started the match with the kick off. VILLANUEVA FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Gong Ao Guang scored to the left of an out of position Nicodemo Recalde, making the score, 1-0. After 9 played minutes VILLANUEVA FC got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Rosselot. Gong Ao Guang received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nicodemo Recalde came out and tried to block the shot, but Gong Ao Guang slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. In the 22nd minute Xalvador Mac Kenney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Rosende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VILLANUEVA FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Gong Ao Guang scored to the left of an out of position Nicodemo Recalde, making the score, 3-0. Nicodemo Recalde was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Gong Ao Guang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gong Ao Guang really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. With a little luck, VILLANUEVA FC's Nicodemo Recalde got control of the ball when Gong Ao Guang tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by VILLANUEVA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jimeno Infante was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A. Peñarol's players had a chance to rest. In the 37th minute Xalvador Mac Kenney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Rosende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as C.A. Peñarol's Gong Ao Guang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicodemo Recalde. That made the score 5-0 after 40 minutes of play. Menéndez Mallea's late challenge caught a VILLANUEVA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Menéndez Mallea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, C.A. Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menéndez Mallea to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gong Ao Guang made a kick off. Menéndez Mallea kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Nicodemo Recalde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gong Ao Guang went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 63 minutes, Gong Ao Guang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Peñarol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gong Ao Guang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, C.A. Peñarol's Gong Ao Guang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicodemo Recalde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. In the 72ndth minute of the game Gong Ao Guang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VILLANUEVA FC's Nicodemo Recalde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Gong Ao Guang came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the C.A. Peñarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gong Ao Guang couldn't finish the play. Xaiver Rosende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xacobo Barroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Nicodemo Recalde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gong Ao Guang went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Xaiver Rosende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, VILLANUEVA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Ao Guang came free, but Nicodemo Recalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 played minutes C.A. Peñarol got a freekick which was hit by Menéndez Mallea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gong Ao Guang in the 88th minute of play forced VILLANUEVA FC's goalkeeper Nicodemo Recalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A. Peñarol were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after VILLANUEVA FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jimeno Infante took the corner. Nicodemo Recalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Ao Guang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VILLANUEVA FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
