Xaiver Rosende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ubarna Marcos scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xaiver Rosende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to C.A. Peñarol getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Maximino Torrealba hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mörður Filt made a kick off. C.A. Peñarol's Xaiver Rosende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Barrera in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to C.A. Peñarol getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Goran Lindegger hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes C.A. Peñarol got a freekick which was hit by Goran Lindegger. In the 74th minute Nicolas Alen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Savier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xaiver Rosende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Olivar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
