An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Armando Lamb in the 8th minute of play forced Nibiru X's goalkeeper Darío Friederichs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nibiru X's Darío Friederichs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Ignacio Vera in the 12th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Algarrobo's Darío Friederichs threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan Ignacio Vera, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nibiru X's Darío Friederichs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Ignacio Vera in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Cañas got free with Darío Friederichs in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Nibiru X fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Nibiru X's Román Grebe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Algarrobo's zone, Román Grebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Ado came out of the goal and Román Grebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute Juan Ignacio Vera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darío Friederichs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everardo Ado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Caviedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Algarrobo's Rafael Nadal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darío Friederichs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Darío Friederichs made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Diego Armando Lamb sent off a good shot on target. Fabio Caviedes scored 3-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Ado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Nibiru X's Fabio Caviedes got a free kick in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Román Grebe to make the kick off. Darío Friederichs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Ignacio Vera in the 50th minute of play. Isidro De Gavardo ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the match, Nibiru X's Isidro De Gavardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Everardo Ado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Algarrobo's Everardo Ado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro De Gavardo in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Algarrobo booed when Nibiru X was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Monsalve didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Nibiru X defense, Wilfredo Marchetti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darío Friederichs. The Nibiru X fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darío Friederichs should have stopped the shot.
