Xaiver Rosende made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Pedro Tomás Talamilla sent off a good shot on target. Gong Ao Guang might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everardo Ado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gong Ao Guang ran back to his position shaking his head. Everardo Ado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gong Ao Guang in the 11th minute of play. Everardo Ado came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Peñarol's Gong Ao Guang. But to his dismay, Gong Ao Guang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. C.A. Peñarol's Xaiver Rosende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Peñarol from getting a goal against them. Xaiver Rosende made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Edmundo Cañas sent off a good shot on target. Everardo Ado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Ao Guang, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Xaiver Rosende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Nadal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gong Ao Guang might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everardo Ado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gong Ao Guang ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute Gong Ao Guang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Ado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Algarrobo's goalkeeper Everardo Ado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gong Ao Guang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Algarrobo's Everardo Ado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Ao Guang in the 37th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Goran Lindegger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. Peñarol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Algarrobo the free kick. After 45 played minutes C.A. Peñarol got a freekick which was hit by Goran Lindegger. After the first half C.A. Peñarol were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Xaiver Rosende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Nadal, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Goran Lindegger took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Everardo Ado to make any attempt to save it. Xaiver Rosende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Armando Lamb in the 55th minute of the match. Algarrobo made a substitution. Wilfredo Marchetti replaced Rafael Nadal. In the 61st minute, Niguel Pasten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gong Ao Guang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Everardo Ado made a huge save. Gong Ao Guang received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Everardo Ado came out and tried to block the shot, but Gong Ao Guang slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Gong Ao Guang recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Everardo Ado. Gong Ao Guang showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After a rather tough play, C.A. Peñarol's Goran Lindegger got a free kick in the 71st minute. Xaiver Rosende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Armando Lamb in the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A. Peñarol's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dani Alves was slow to take the kick. During this time Algarrobo's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Dani Alves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A. Peñarol's Xaiver Rosende did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gong Ao Guang got free with Everardo Ado in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xaiver Rosende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Armando Lamb, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Gong Ao Guang reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Everardo Ado. The goal made the score 0-6. Gong Ao Guang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, C.A. Peñarol's Gong Ao Guang dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Armando Lamb in the 94th minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Xaiver Rosende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Algarrobo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C.A. Peñarol's performance. The match ended with a win for C.A. Peñarol.
