In the 2nd minute, Rafael Demanet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Armando Faine took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ariel Balboa. U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Caviedes in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Xaime Morales hit a great ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Román Grebe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ariel Balboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Caviedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ariel Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Román Grebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Armando Faine came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Nibiru X fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Nibiru X's Román Grebe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Orfilio Orbañanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Darío Friederichs made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Orfilio Orbañanos managed to get in a good position for a shot. U. de Tarapacá's supporters rose to their feet, but Orfilio Orbañanos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darío Friederichs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nibiru X's Renato Kilpatrick quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kim Heers, made in the 38th minute of the game. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Caviedes in the 39th minute of play. Nibiru X's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diego Armando Faine in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on Nibiru X's corner Diego Armando Faine fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ariel Balboa quite easily take care of the ball. Kim Heers kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Nibiru X got a corner. U. de Tarapacá's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Diego Armando Faine ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 46th minute, U. de Tarapacá's Zheng Ning Peng seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zheng Ning Peng the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of U. de Tarapacá protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zheng Ning Peng had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. U. de Tarapacá made a substitution. Paulín Jurado replaced Kim Heers. 46 minutes into the game, one of U. de Tarapacá:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orfilio Orbañanos was the one to do the kick off. Nibiru X's Darío Friederichs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Barcena in the 58th minute of play. Orfilio Orbañanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darío Friederichs having to interfere. Nibiru X made a substitution. Isidro De Gavardo replaced Diego Armando Faine. Nibiru X's Jose Rojas was substituted for Fabio Caviedes. Darío Friederichs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Barcena in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, U. de Tarapacá's Orfilio Orbañanos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darío Friederichs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Mark Devia got a free kick in the 71st minute. Ariel Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Román Grebe in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Isidro De Gavardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ariel Balboa, 1-3. Darío Friederichs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orfilio Orbañanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute of the match, Isidro De Gavardo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ariel Balboa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ariel Balboa came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Nibiru X's Román Grebe. But to his dismay, Román Grebe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After 88 minutes Nibiru X's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was León Philippi who took care of the corner kick. Román Grebe struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ariel Balboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nibiru X. A hard shot 90 in the game by Isidro De Gavardo from a close distance when the talented Ariel Balboa managed to make a qualified save. U. de Tarapacá's players were relieved. 91 minutes into the match, Nibiru X's goal looked a bit too open when Orfilio Orbañanos came free, but Darío Friederichs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes Nibiru X's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was León Philippi who took care of the corner kick. 95 minutes into the game, Isidro De Gavardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ariel Balboa. Isidro De Gavardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5.
