With a little luck, Soroca F.C.'s Dan Wennerqvist got control of the ball when Serafim Malta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francesco Coscia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dan Wennerqvist made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Eugenio Cannata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dan Wennerqvist was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. A collision led to Soroca F.C. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Amador Venceslao hit a great ball. The long shot by Quique Branca in the 29th minute really tested Dan Wennerqvist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Liu Xing Qiang came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Soroca F.C.'s Adrián Espadas. But to his dismay, Adrián Espadas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Liu Xing Qiang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrián Espadas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liu Xing Qiang having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrián Espadas in the 44th minute of play forced Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Liu Xing Qiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erwin Jadamowitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Soroca F.C. got a corner. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustavo Tartalo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Jadamowitz in the 55th minute of play. Soroca F.C.'s Dan Wennerqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Malta in the 56th minute of play. Liu Xing Qiang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrián Espadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Liu Xing Qiang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Espadas in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Serafim Malta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liu Xing Qiang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Espadas in the 64th minute of the match. When Adrián Espadas came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Soroca F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrián Espadas couldn't finish the play. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Romulo Thomas replaced Gustavo Tartalo. Soroca F.C.'s Rodolfo Atarrabi was substituted for Hernan Lano. Dan Wennerqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafim Malta went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Răzvan Necula received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Liu Xing Qiang came out and tried to block the shot, but Răzvan Necula slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 76th minute. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Christian Bulla was substituted for Valeriu Stoicescu. Dan Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Coscia, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Răzvan Necula's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liu Xing Qiang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Iordanis Karatzaferis. In the 91st match minute, Soroca F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordanis Karatzaferis to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute Didier Skarsø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
