Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Aurelio Walme successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Grzelak in the 7th minute of play. Fabricio Pere kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Chale came free, but Aurelio Walme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ercole Carnevale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Santoryu FC defense, Daniel Owsiak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Carnevale. The Santoryu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Carnevale should have stopped the shot. Daniel Owsiak scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ercole Carnevale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Renato Augusto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ercole Carnevale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute Renato Augusto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Carnevale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Renato Augusto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lei Feng Yan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Ercole Carnevale made a huge save. Aurelio Walme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Chale, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When Renato Augusto came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Augusto couldn't finish the play.
