An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Schär in the 5th minute of play forced FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Cezar Barboni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Freeman Mächler made a precise shot to the right of Cezar Barboni. FC ciufulici's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. FC ciufulici's Cezar Barboni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Aregger in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's Raphael Aregger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cezar Barboni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cezar Barboni came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Espen Steelers's Andres Ambühl. But to his dismay, Andres Ambühl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Raphael Aregger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cezar Barboni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC ciufulici defense, Freeman Mächler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cezar Barboni. The FC ciufulici fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cezar Barboni should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, FC ciufulici's goal looked a bit too open when Gaetano Rothstein came free, but Cezar Barboni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC ciufulici's Cezar Barboni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Schär in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th match minute, FC ciufulici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Țâpu to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Freeman Mächler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC ciufulici's Cezar Barboni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Aregger in the 46th minute of play. If Falko Reimann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Espen Steelers were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrei Joita to strike the kick off in the second half. Cezar Barboni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freeman Mächler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 52 played minutes FC ciufulici got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Țâpu. Freeman Mächler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cezar Barboni came out and tried to block the shot, but Freeman Mächler slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Falko Reimann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cezar Barboni was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Espen Steelers's Fabian Schär got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Freeman Mächler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cezar Barboni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. FC ciufulici's Cezar Barboni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Schär in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Cezar Barboni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Schär. Freeman Mächler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cezar Barboni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Harrison Muntwyler replaced Freeman Mächler. The crowd rose to their feet as Fabian Schär kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cezar Barboni. That made the score 0-7 in the 73 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Espen Steelers's Cezar Barboni threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaetano Rothstein, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ernest Gheorghiu's late challenge caught a Espen Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernest Gheorghiu helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Fabian Schär managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espen Steelers's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Schär was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cezar Barboni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cezar Barboni was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabian Schär showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 83 minute of play. Cezar Barboni made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Falko Reimann sent off a good shot on target. Espen Steelers's Gaetano Rothstein got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ionică Burtea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akira Schmid having to interfere. Cezar Barboni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Schär, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cezar Barboni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaetano Rothstein in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Espen Steelers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC ciufulici.
