An unexpectedly hard shot by Börge Botvidsson in the 14th minute of play forced Alianza FC's goalkeeper Azubeli Gimilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Azubeli Gimilio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Garaile Cereijais was the one to do the kick off. Cayo Cobo charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Azubeli Gimilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Åke Nordstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
