After 69 played minutes, FC ciufulici's Iustin Şerbănoiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Azubeli Gimilio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC ciufulici reached it. After 69 minutes, Tauro Burbua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alianza FC and the FC ciufulici players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alianza FC's Garaile Cereijais got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Alianza FC's Cayo Cobo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sabin Enache made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alianza FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
