After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Albert Einstein got a free kick in the 13th minute. Dominik Sauerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 23rd minute, but Percival Prestes got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving REAL VASCO RIO hanging dry this time. 27 minutes into the match, Mauro Aebi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival Prestes. REAL VASCO RIO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Aebi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 29th minute, Mauro Aebi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Pedrão Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Espen Steelers's Simon Sonevoga was substituted for Albert Einstein. With a little luck, REAL VASCO RIO's Percival Prestes got control of the ball when Henri Schwersenz tried to sneak it across the goal line. REAL VASCO RIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espen Steelers the free kick. A collision led to REAL VASCO RIO getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Durvalino Sarmento hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedrão Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salomone Weber, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. 51 minutes had been played when some careless play by REAL VASCO RIO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Aebi was slow to take the kick. During this time Espen Steelers's players had a chance to rest. In the 53rd minute, Kurt Wüthrich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Percival Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 58 minutes in the game, Kurt Wüthrich dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Sauerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Jörg Stiel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Damião. Percival Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Aebi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, REAL VASCO RIO's Alfredo Fernandes got a free kick in the 65th minute. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Bryan Rohner replaced Dominik Sauerberg. In the 66th minute, Alfredo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Salomone Weber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes REAL VASCO RIO got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Cosme. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Erasmo Emesto got a free kick in the 71st minute. Percival Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falko Reimann, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Jörg Stiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Leão in the 79th minute of the match. Luciano Leão hit a great ball. 95 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Espen Steelers's Bryan Rohner fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Kurt Wüthrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Espen Steelers had won after a very even match.
