In the 12th minute, Roch Chowaniec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. MKS Pogoń Szczecin's Wiktor Dudkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Batista in the 14th minute of play. Wiktor Dudkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Trevisan in the 15th minute of play. EC Rodrigus MZ were furious when Shen Jian Xu was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 18th minute, one of EC Rodrigus MZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for EC Rodrigus MZ. The goalkeeper, Narciso Eusko, was totally fooled by MKS Pogoń Szczecin's Clodoveo Ponce, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Narciso Eusko had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Jardel Cabezon from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jardel Cabezon hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Wiktor Dudkowski came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Rodrigus MZ's Luiz Gustavo Trevisan. But to his dismay, Luiz Gustavo Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovando Vera in the 35th minute of play forced EC Rodrigus MZ's goalkeeper Narciso Eusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radomir Bazan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Narciso Eusko when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Miguel Tadzio hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clodoveo Ponce got free with Narciso Eusko in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 51 minutes, Pedro Guilherme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Rodrigus MZ and the MKS Pogoń Szczecin players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of MKS Pogoń Szczecin booed when EC Rodrigus MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Guilherme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Ovando Vera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Eusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joélson dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EC Rodrigus MZ's protests and gave Joélson dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. Joélson dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match.
