The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match, Kent Åkerström got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfredinho Carneiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. FS Elite's Tommy Falck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Batista in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Aurken in the 13th minute of play forced Colognese FC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Falck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes in the game, Edgard Batista dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Alfredinho Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Åkerström in the 23rd minute of the match. Tommy Falck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Ruben Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Falck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Colognese FC's Alfredinho Carneiro got control of the ball when Du Lin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ruben Casado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Falck was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Adrian Albom did an outstanding performance 46 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Alfredinho Carneiro in the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruben Casado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredinho Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Aurken in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FS Elite's zone, Juninho Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Falck came out of the goal and Juninho Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colognese FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FS Elite.
