The audience thought a goal was coming when Javier Jaunzuria got free with Hortêncio Duarte in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogelio Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelsinho Meira's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Anastasio Gizon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hortêncio Duarte, 2-0. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Anastasio Gizon took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Hortêncio Duarte to make any attempt to save it. Hortêncio Duarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javier Jaunzuria in the 28th minute. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Doug Bermudez put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hortêncio Duarte. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doug Bermudez in the 41st minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doug Bermudez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Hortêncio Duarte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute of the match Los Diablos Rojos got a corner. Pindorama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Doug Bermudez ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Los Diablos Rojos booed when Pindorama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Luisão Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pindorama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisão Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hortêncio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doug Bermudez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelsinho Meira in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The Pindorama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio Duarte should have stopped the shot. Hortêncio Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug Bermudez in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Cloyo came free, but Hortêncio Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 minutes, Maximo Cloyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Diablos Rojos and the Pindorama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pindorama made a substitution. Simão Camargo replaced Bernardo Terra. Maximo Cloyo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Rogelio Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was a well-played corner which Luisão Rocha managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Los Diablos Rojos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
