A collision led to APOELHELLAS getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Makareus Poulakis hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the game, Makareus Poulakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. APOELHELLAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Sportivo Quilmes the free kick. After 10 played minutes APOELHELLAS got a freekick which was hit by Makareus Poulakis. Rey Acitores was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Waldemar Przybylo. Pastor Firman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Popowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute of the match APOELHELLAS got a corner. Club Sportivo Quilmes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damazy Absolwent ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Damazy Absolwent almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Sportivo Quilmes's Pastor Firman did a great save. In the 16th minute, Arnold Ponk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20thth minute of the game Radomil Mietus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but APOELHELLAS's Rey Acitores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aglauros Sakellariou in the 22nd minute of play forced Club Sportivo Quilmes's goalkeeper Pastor Firman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. APOELHELLAS were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Club Sportivo Quilmes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Damazy Absolwent took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Damazy Absolwent got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pastor Firman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rey Acitores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Telo in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, APOELHELLAS's Nikola Ribić got a free kick in the 34th minute. A collision led to APOELHELLAS getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Damazy Absolwent hit a great ball. Arnold Ponk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rey Acitores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Mietus in the 44th minute of play forced APOELHELLAS's goalkeeper Rey Acitores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Sebastian Verón dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rey Acitores, 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radomil Mietus made a kick off. Emanuel Ladio kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute Damazy Absolwent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rey Acitores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Ponk in the 55th minute of play. Rey Acitores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Radomil Mietus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Sportivo Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Radomil Mietus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rey Acitores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd minute, Radomil Mietus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Sebastian Verón managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Sportivo Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Verón was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rey Acitores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Sportivo Quilmes's David Oihan was substituted for Radomil Mietus. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnold Ponk in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rey Acitores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rey Acitores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Oihan in the 77th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Oihan in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rey Acitores saved APOELHELLAS from getting behind. APOELHELLAS's Rey Acitores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Oihan in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Club Sportivo Quilmes booed when APOELHELLAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Makareus Poulakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rey Acitores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Telo in the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, APOELHELLAS's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Verón came free, but Rey Acitores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rdth minute of the game David Oihan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but APOELHELLAS's Rey Acitores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Sportivo Quilmes fully deserved thier win.
