Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Octavian Basten got the match started through his kick off. Gabriel Fanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Basten in the 4th minute of play. In the 5thth minute of the game Octavian Basten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Doffes Damer's Gabriel Fanström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 6th minute, Hugo Haupt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inge Braa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but August Hoffmanns made a huge save. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Göran Vedholm was slow to take the kick. During this time Doffes Damer's players had a chance to rest. Göran Vedholm made a great header on Doffes Damer's corner, it was just that Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Haupt in the 9th minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Gabriel Fanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Inge Braa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Inge Braa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but August Hoffmanns made a huge save. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Inge Braa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of August Hoffmanns. Inge Braa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 23 played minutes Doffes Damer got a freekick which was hit by Duran İlseven. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 24th minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Gabriel Fanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inge Braa in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doffes Damer's Gabriel Fanström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mesut Özil in the 33rd minute of play. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Braa in the 36th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Mesut Özil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Fanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Inge Braa rounded Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. 47 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Basten came free, but Gabriel Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inge Braa made a kick off. After 52 minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Göran Vedholm who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Doffes Damer's Göran Vedholm to fire away a dangerous shot which August Hoffmanns despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Barbosa in the 53rd minute of play. Inge Braa took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Inge Braa scored 4-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of August Hoffmanns, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hugo Haupt was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 60th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, Inge Braa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Hoffmanns should have stopped the shot. Doffes Damer's Knut Utfal was substituted for Inge Braa. In the 73rd minute Doffes Damer were awarded a corner. Göran Vedholm went to the cornerflag to take it. Doffes Damer's Leopoldo Barbosa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but August Hoffmanns in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 75 minutes, Knut Utfal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doffes Damer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Knut Utfal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anestis Kotsopoulos to maneuver through the defense. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Utfal in the 79th minute of play. Gabriel Fanström was a little too slow when Hugo Haupt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 5-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Knut Utfal in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Hoffmanns saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Mesut Özil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. Doffes Damer were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rot-Weiss-Essen for a fine match.
