After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Adriano Camargo got a free kick in the 5th minute. Hristo Stoichkov scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Durval Guerra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Durval Guerra came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Athletico Picapedrense's Hristo Stoichkov. But to his dismay, Hristo Stoichkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 16th minute, Hristo Stoichkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Durval Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Durval Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Ömer Ongu in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute Hristo Stoichkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hristo Stoichkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Guerra having to interfere. Athletico Picapedrense's Jesus Sayveon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Antunes in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Antunes came free, but Jesus Sayveon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hristo Stoichkov in the 38th minute of the match. Ali Ömer Ongu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Coronel Ribas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Hristo Stoichkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Durval Guerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hristo Stoichkov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hristo Stoichkov in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Ömer Ongu in the 52nd minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Durval Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra got control of the ball when Hristo Stoichkov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Durval Guerra made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Hristo Stoichkov sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Hristo Stoichkov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Athletico Picapedrense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Athletico Picapedrense made a substitution. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eloi Fontanella in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durval Guerra saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. Athletico Picapedrense's Eloi Fontanella managed to work through Icoara Football Club's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eloi Fontanella dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 63rd minute, Athletico Picapedrense's Eloi Fontanella dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 75th minute, Eloi Fontanella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Eloi Fontanella had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Durval Guerra. Icoara Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eloi Fontanella was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. The audience was convinced that Eloi Fontanella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Guerra was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 83rdth minute of the game Eloi Fontanella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Eloi Fontanella advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-8 in the 85th minute. Eloi Fontanella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Durval Guerra was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Eloi Fontanella capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eloi Fontanella really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. In the 94thth minute of the game Eloi Fontanella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Athletico Picapedrense's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
