Zé Carlos Moreno took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval Guerra. Durval Guerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vitinho Gaspar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cipriano Santana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Dito Ramos could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Vitinho Gaspar however easily saved by the left post. Daniel Kvarnström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Kvarnström in the 21st minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Durval Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Cipriano Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icoara Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Cipriano Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lidice's Daniel Kvarnström got a free kick in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Lidice's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Antunes came free, but Vitinho Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match Icoara Football Club got a corner. Lidice's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iuri Ortiz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vitinho Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vitinho Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Santana in the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Daniel Kvarnström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lidice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Santana in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 minutes, Alex Volponi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lidice and the Icoara Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Icoara Football Club's Dino Peixoto was substituted for Cipriano Santana. In the 46th match minute, Lidice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Volponi to maneuver through the defense.
The wind increased when Daniel Kvarnström made the kick off in the second half. Délio Brodel hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra got control of the ball when Johnny Van Hoeyvelt tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Icoara Football Club getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Dito Ramos hit a great ball. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Moreno in the 55th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Erik Antunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitinho Gaspar was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 78th minute Daniel Kvarnström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes Lidice got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Rallo. When Dito Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Icoara Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dito Ramos couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Lidice's Luiz do Nascimento got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 89 played minutes Lidice got a freekick which was hit by Charles Custódio. In the 92nd minute, Lidice's Daniel Kvarnström dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. The Lidice players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
