Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anestis Kotsopoulos took the kick off in the first half of the match. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hristo Stoichkov in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Athletico Picapedrense got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juanito Gabucio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Juanito Gabucio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this August Hoffmanns quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jesus Sayveon made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Anestis Kotsopoulos sent off a good shot on target. Hristo Stoichkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. August Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlondo Aguado in the 20th minute of the match. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hristo Stoichkov in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Hristo Stoichkov notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, Hristo Stoichkov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlondo Aguado in the 32nd minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Athletico Picapedrense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juanito Gabucio in the 36th minute. The Athletico Picapedrense fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Athletico Picapedrense's Hristo Stoichkov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 44 minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juanito Gabucio who took care of the corner kick. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hristo Stoichkov in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Athletico Picapedrense were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hristo Stoichkov was the one to do the kick off. Athletico Picapedrense's Orlondo Aguado managed to work through Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Orlondo Aguado dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 62nd minute, Hakem Al Khames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloi Fontanella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute Maximilian Henning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Sayveon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Athletico Picapedrense's Eloi Fontanella dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. 78 minutes into the match, Eloi Fontanella dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of August Hoffmanns, 1-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Eloi Fontanella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Athletico Picapedrense's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloi Fontanella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakem Al Khames to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Henning came free, but Jesus Sayveon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Sayveon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximilian Henning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Hakem Al Khames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting a goal against them.
