César Prata made in the 2nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Blumenau Esporte Clube's Donato Mazza. 9 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaltino Siqueira. After 11 minutes of play, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niek Molhoek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Blumenau Esporte Clube's Lucas-Ignacio Lugano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by César Prata in the 13 minute of the game. Niek Molhoek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 15th minute of play. If Bin Shevchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Niek Molhoek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bin Shevchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With his leg Luiz Fábio Leite managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Olímpico Blumenau FC's Isaltino Siqueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bin Shevchenko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niek Molhoek having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 24th minute of play forced Olímpico Blumenau FC's goalkeeper Niek Molhoek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niek Molhoek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Olímpico Blumenau FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Válbson Ferraz hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Bin Shevchenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niek Molhoek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Bin Shevchenko might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niek Molhoek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bin Shevchenko ran back to his position shaking his head. Niek Molhoek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 33rd minute of the match. Luiz Fábio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Ferraz in the 35th minute of play. If Bin Shevchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olímpico Blumenau FC's Niek Molhoek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Olímpico Blumenau FC's zone, Bin Shevchenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niek Molhoek came out of the goal and Bin Shevchenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niek Molhoek came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko. But to his dismay, Bin Shevchenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Carlos Alves was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Olímpico Blumenau FC got a freekick which was hit by César Prata. If Bin Shevchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Carlos Alves scored 1-3 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Fábio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Alves in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, César Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Olímpico Blumenau FC made a substitution. Almir Quadros replaced Mário Arce. İlkan Lefter hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bin Shevchenko in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niek Molhoek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 86th minute of play forced Olímpico Blumenau FC's goalkeeper Niek Molhoek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niek Molhoek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bin Shevchenko's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Bin Shevchenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blumenau Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Niek Molhoek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bin Shevchenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Bin Shevchenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
