Gernando Mineiro made a great header on Olímpico Blumenau FC's corner, it was just that Itajaí Football Club's Beto Teixeira managed to reach the ball for a save. Jeremias Ferrazs short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Beto Teixeira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beto Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 31 minutes, Zé Carlos Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olímpico Blumenau FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beto Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Zé Carlos Alves sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Olímpico Blumenau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Miranda came free, but Niek Molhoek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niek Molhoek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Miranda in the 36th minute of the match. Beto Teixeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Válbson Ferraz went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Niek Molhoek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Arce in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, Itajaí Football Club's Beto Teixeira got control of the ball when Isaltino Siqueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Conrado Miranda made the kick off in the second half.
