Niek Molhoek made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Xande Campbell sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Afonso da Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niek Molhoek was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After some careless play in the Olímpico Blumenau FC defense, Afonso da Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niek Molhoek. The Olímpico Blumenau FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niek Molhoek should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niek Molhoek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso da Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niek Molhoek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso da Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the game, Afonso da Cunha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Niek Molhoek. Afonso da Cunha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso da Cunha to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Virgiawan Laturua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niek Molhoek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Ludomil Ziomkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute, Afonso da Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Niek Molhoek. Olímpico Blumenau FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-1. 59 minutes into the match, Olímpico Blumenau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso da Cunha came free, but Niek Molhoek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Afonso da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ booed when Olímpico Blumenau FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niek Molhoek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein replaced Emanuele Bertoni. Ludomil Ziomkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Ferraz in the 73rd minute of play. Olímpico Blumenau FC's Niek Molhoek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 77th minute of play. Ludomil Ziomkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Alves in the 78th minute of the match. Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niek Molhoek. Niek Molhoek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-1. The audience was convinced that Zé Carlos Alves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludomil Ziomkowski was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 89th minute of play forced Olímpico Blumenau FC's goalkeeper Niek Molhoek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niek Molhoek was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-2. Niek Molhoek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein in the 94th minute of the match. Niek Molhoek came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Afonso da Cunha. But to his dismay, Afonso da Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ had won after a very even match.
