Caco Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Alves in the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Carlos Alves was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Murilo Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
