Stefan Banaszak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Leite having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Bin Shevchenko reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dmytro Novak. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 18th minute, Ramón Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fábio Leite was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 23 minutes into the game, Flamengo FSCMZ's Ramón Furtado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fábio Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Stefan Banaszak hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Dmytro Novak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 28th minute of the match. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Furtado in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramón Furtado in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fábio Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severino Leme hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bin Shevchenko in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dmytro Novak saved Flamengo FSCMZ from getting behind. In the 40th minute Bin Shevchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmytro Novak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fábio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes Blumenau Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Lucas-Ignacio Lugano. Flamengo FSCMZ's Ramón Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stefan Banaszak might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fábio Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Banaszak ran back to his position shaking his head. The Blumenau Esporte Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flamengo FSCMZ were winning 1-2.

Luiz Fábio Leite made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Clément Labonne sent off a good shot on target. Ramón Furtado might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fábio Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramón Furtado ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramón Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Luiz Fábio Leite made a huge save. 59 minutes into the game, Severino Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blumenau Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo FSCMZ the free kick. The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when Blumenau Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Blumenau Esporte Clube booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Nildo Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Furtado in the 84th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dmytro Novak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 96th minute of the match. The Flamengo FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Flamengo FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
