In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Víktor Freire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Barros in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Ibirama Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Hugo Correia went to the cornerflag to take it. Luiz Fábio Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Barros in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Ibirama Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Bin Shevchenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Víktor Freire made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Edvaldo de Toledo sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Víktor Freire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bin Shevchenko might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Víktor Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bin Shevchenko ran back to his position shaking his head. Víktor Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Ibirama Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Maurinho de Mendonça hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bin Shevchenko in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Víktor Freire saved Ibirama Futebol Clube from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinho Fernandes to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Víktor Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A collision led to Ibirama Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Maurinho de Mendonça hit a great ball. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 62 minutes of play, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Víktor Freire was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agostinho Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Maurinho de Mendonça got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute, Bin Shevchenko made a precise shot to the right of Víktor Freire. Ibirama Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Víktor Freire didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bin Shevchenko went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. 80 minutes into the match, Bin Shevchenko notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Ibirama Futebol Clube's Víktor Freire. Víktor Freire was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Ibirama Futebol Clube defense, Edvaldo de Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Víktor Freire. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Víktor Freire should have stopped the shot. When Sérgio Braga fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibirama Futebol Clube's protests and gave Sérgio Braga a yellow card for diving instead. Sérgio Braga hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Bin Shevchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led to Blumenau Esporte Clube's Xandinho Sharkin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Blumenau Esporte Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ibirama Futebol Clube had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
