Compostela FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cayetano Monico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Tadeo Gomez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Compostela FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Cerezo in the 18th minute of play forced Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valentin Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cesar Peyo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Bernal made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Chicão Cerezo sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Compostela FSCMZ defense, Cayetano Monico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesar Peyo. The Compostela FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesar Peyo should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cayetano Monico made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play Compostela FSCMZ's Tadeo Gomez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Compostela FSCMZ's Tadeo Gomez got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Cesar Peyo was a little too slow when Cayetano Monico got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-5. Cesar Peyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Monico in the 57th minute of the match. Cayetano Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the match, Compostela FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Monico came free, but Cesar Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Compostela FSCMZ's Cesar Peyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Monico in the 66th minute of play. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Igor Milko was substituted for Cayetano Monico. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque was substituted for Luiz Paulo Dracena. If Igor Milko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cesar Peyo made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Igor Milko sent off a good shot on target. If Pedro Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Pedro Salvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
