Olavo Linares came out of the goal and Cristóvão Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, RB SAIDERA's Isaltino Barral got a free kick in the 7th minute. After some careless play in the RB SAIDERA defense, Cristóvão Mattos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olavo Linares. The RB SAIDERA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olavo Linares should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Machado hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Paranhos Ariranha FC's Cristóvão Mattos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olavo Linares. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. When Cristóvão Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Paranhos Ariranha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Mattos couldn't finish the play. Olavo Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão Mattos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
