The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Tomás Gajardo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garopaba F.C's protests and gave Tomás Gajardo a yellow card for diving instead. Orlando da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Le Shu in the 58th minute of play. Orlando da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xu Le Shu went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to SRP-Laguna getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Leandro Figueiredo hit a great ball. Garopaba F.C's Orlando da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xu Le Shu in the 73rd minute of play. When SRP-Laguna's Xu Le Shu, in the 73rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SRP-Laguna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frasier Crane in the 78th minute of play forced Garopaba F.C's goalkeeper Orlando da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
