The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hernani Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernani Palmeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ciseski‘s getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Hernani Palmeira hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogelio Urtungo in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustão de Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Faustão de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Correia in the 5th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Garopaba F.C got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Pontes. Orlando da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Romário in the 9th minute of play. Dedé Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Dedé Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Urtungo in the 22nd minute of play forced Ciseski‘s's goalkeeper Faustão de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ciseski‘s's goalkeeper Faustão de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Urtungo. Orlando da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmond Boureau in the 30th minute of play. Rogelio Urtungo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Faustão de Moraes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ciseski‘s's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wambasther Özil was slow to take the kick. During this time Garopaba F.C's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Wambasther Özil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Faustão de Moraes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ciseski‘s's Faustão de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ciseski‘s from getting a goal against them. Faustão de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Correia in the 39th minute of the match. Orlando da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Romário, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Keven Swift was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garopaba F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciseski‘s the free kick. In the 43rd minute, one of Garopaba F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Garopaba F.C. The referee gave Ciseski‘s a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Yanniek Van Laeck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Garopaba F.C's Orlando da Cunha. 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Romário stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Faustão de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé Correia in the 53rd minute of play. Garopaba F.C's Orlando da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond Boureau in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Ciseski‘s's goal looked a bit too open when Dedé Correia came free, but Faustão de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65thth minute of the game Roberto Romário who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garopaba F.C's Orlando da Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dedé Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Garopaba F.C booed when Ciseski‘s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Rogelio Urtungo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Garopaba F.C's goalkeeper Orlando da Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé Recife. With a little luck, Garopaba F.C's Orlando da Cunha got control of the ball when Edmond Boureau tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Garopaba F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Boureau came free, but Orlando da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ciseski‘s's Roberto Romário dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Roberto Romário was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Ciseski‘s's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Orlando da Cunha came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciseski‘s's Edmond Boureau. But to his dismay, Edmond Boureau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4.
