Nestor Bâru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Unidad de Matanza's Jeremias Moreno threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nestor Bâru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When ADM Taquaras's Oliver Bierhoff in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unidad de Matanza's Freddy Quintyn quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Malcolm Westerberg, made in the 19th minute of the game. In the 21stth minute of the game Denílson Tepedino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unidad de Matanza's Venancio Cristofol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Denílson Tepedino sped through Unidad de Matanza's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Venancio Cristofol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Tepedino in the 25th minute of play forced Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Venancio Cristofol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nestor Bâru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute Nestor Bâru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denílson Tepedino in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Cristofol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute Denílson Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Bâru in the 38th minute of play. Venancio Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 40 minutes Unidad de Matanza's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Malcolm Westerberg who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Denílson Tepedino to score against Venancio Cristofol in Unidad de Matanza's goal. 1-4 after 41 minutes. The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcolm Westerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oliver Bierhoff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Bâru in the 54th minute of the match. Nestor Bâru took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremias Moreno. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ADM Taquaras eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
