In the 15th minute Czeslaw Czajkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Font saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylwester Mierzwa in the 16th minute of play forced Åstäppa FK's goalkeeper Charles Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sylwester Mierzwa made a kick off. The supporters of Åstäppa FK booed when ↖ Sagittarius ↗ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szczepan Trela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modesto Font stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Czeslaw Czajkowski's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Åstäppa FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maciej Zyskowski was slow to take the kick. During this time ↖ Sagittarius ↗'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Maciej Zyskowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Charles Hughes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 72 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's Peter Örtendal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Modesto Font narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Zbyszko Wysocki came free, but Charles Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Sylwester Mierzwa took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Charles Hughes to make any attempt to save it.
