With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danny Bangsbye prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Martín Petrov came free, but Charles Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Czeslaw Czajkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Bangsbye saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Czeslaw Czajkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Bangsbye having to interfere. Martín Petrov might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles Hughes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martín Petrov ran back to his position shaking his head. Charles Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Petrov, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Danny Bangsbye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Czajkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Bangsbye made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Czeslaw Czajkowski sent off a good shot on target. In the 39thth minute of the game Czeslaw Czajkowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KS Powstańcy's Danny Bangsbye was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Czeslaw Czajkowski made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goalkeeper Charles Hughes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roch Mockiewicz. KS Powstańcy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roch Mockiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of KS Powstańcy booed when Åstäppa FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Lindman didn't get a good kick on the ball. KS Powstańcy's Danny Bangsbye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuncay Kutel in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Åstäppa FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Apelqvist to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Robert Skirzynski threw the ball into play from the sideline. Åstäppa FK's Håkan Axelsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Åstäppa FK fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Åstäppa FK's Czeslaw Czajkowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Peter Örtendal hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Martín Petrov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Charles Hughes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Åstäppa FK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
