Club A. Chipa y Tereré's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Atlanta the free kick. A collision led to Club A. Chipa y Tereré getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Tadeo Sesuldo hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Alfonso Goicoechea notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Ulises Sidro. Ulises Sidro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Ulises Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 10th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Mugur Chiriac made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulises Sidro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute Anselmo Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulises Sidro came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Atlanta's Mugur Chiriac. But to his dismay, Mugur Chiriac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 20 minutes, Olari Mõniste managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club A. Chipa y Tereré's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olari Mõniste was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Club A. Chipa y Tereré defense, Remigio Erramu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulises Sidro. The Club A. Chipa y Tereré fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulises Sidro should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the match, Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Olari Mõniste sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute Club A. Chipa y Tereré were awarded a corner. Nicanor Uzuri went to the cornerflag to take it. Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Olari Mõniste got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olari Mõniste's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olari Mõniste helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Club A. Chipa y Tereré got a freekick which was hit by Olari Mõniste. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Nevada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulises Sidro was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Rolando Corderun hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 45th minute of play forced Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goalkeeper Ulises Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Club A. Chipa y Tereré players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atlético Atlanta were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olari Mõniste to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugur Chiriac in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulises Sidro saved Club A. Chipa y Tereré from getting behind. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Alfonso Goicoechea sped through Club A. Chipa y Tereré's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ulises Sidro. In the 56th match minute, Club A. Chipa y Tereré was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Uzuri to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Ferdinand in the 57th minute of play forced Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goalkeeper Ulises Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anselmo Nevada came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Nevada couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olari Mõniste in the 77th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Club Atlético Atlanta's Anselmo Nevada dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9.
