After having played for 3 minutes, Alvaro Montrell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Copérnico F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Montrell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Sotil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Luar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Copérnico F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ariel Delfino in the 7th minute. A nice corner shot did that Ariel Delfino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Virgilio Sotil quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Manuel Jatsu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Virgilio Sotil skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 12 minutes into the game, Manuel Jatsu lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Virgilio Sotil. In the 17th minute of the match, Manuel Jatsu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Virgilio Sotil was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Copérnico F.C. getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Alvaro Montrell hit a great ball. The supporters of Copérnico F.C. booed when Villa Mitre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Guifre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Luar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Virgilio Sotil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Montrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Virgilio Sotil made a huge save. Guido Mitxaut hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes Villa Mitre got a freekick which was hit by Blas Seber. Ariel Delfino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Sotil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Montrell in the 34th minute of play forced Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Virgilio Sotil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Copérnico F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Jerano came free, but Herminio Guillelme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Copérnico F.C.'s Herminio Guillelme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Mateo in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspar Mateo in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Guillelme saved Copérnico F.C. from getting behind. In the 45th match minute, Villa Mitre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Pelayo to maneuver through the defense. Virgilio Sotil was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ariel Delfino. In the 47th minute, Romulo Pelayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Manuel Jatsu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Sotil was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaspar Mateo made a kick off. In the 55th minute Lucas Luar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Sotil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Copérnico F.C. getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Arnoldo Txatxu hit a great ball. The supporters of Villa Mitre booed when Copérnico F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Txatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Montrell in the 83rd minute of play forced Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Virgilio Sotil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Mitxaut kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Francisco Herrera made a precise shot to the right of Virgilio Sotil. Villa Mitre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Francisco Herrera's late challenge caught a Villa Mitre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Herrera helped the player get up and apologised. Aaron Guifre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Herminio Guillelme made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gaspar Mateo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Mitre's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Mateo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Guillelme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lucas Luar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Copérnico F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
