The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alejo Louis's late challenge caught a 0 descensos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alejo Louis helped the player get up and apologised. Alejo Louis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Gaston Blai made a huge save. Leones FC's Amador Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Dominic in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Alejo Louis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaston Blai was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Leones FC were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after 0 descensos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emiliano Faro took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Rafael Maura got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gaston Blai quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jaime Mundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaston Blai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, 0 descensos's David Tiniebra got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Gaston Blai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Mundo in the 30th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Gaston Blai successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 32nd minute, Igor Dominic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaston Blai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Louis in the 35th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Ferdinand. Everardo Loi hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Dominic was the one to do the kick off. After 57 minutes, Jaime Mundo made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. 0 descensos's Gaston Blai tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Emiliano Faro fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave Emiliano Faro a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes 0 descensos got a freekick which was hit by Celso Quintana. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Godfredo Ascencio during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Ascencio to maneuver through the defense. Guido Onbera struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Amador Jakue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 0 descensos. Mateo Derwin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Mateo Derwin got a free kick in the 81st minute. Amador Jakue came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by 0 descensos's Rafael Bihar. But to his dismay, Rafael Bihar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 0 descensos's David Tiniebra got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered David Tiniebra off the ground. In the 90th match minute, 0 descensos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Tiniebra to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, 0 descensos's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Mundo came free, but Gaston Blai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Blai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Louis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
