When Patrick Osterhagen came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Osterhagen couldn't finish the play. Cristian Cayo hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Maximilian Stößlein couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. After 35 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Batho König. Batho König received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cecilio Mantzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Fermin Oto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Oto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruce Pesch got free with Cecilio Mantzio in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Pieth didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Astor Bero made the kick off in the second half.
