The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Siro Argi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Copérnico F.C.'s Filomeno Santos. Filomeno Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 6th minute, Siro Argi made a precise shot to the right of Filomeno Santos. Copérnico F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Constantino Modestio was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Anacleto Cisco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anacleto Cisco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Filomeno Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Argi, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Copérnico F.C. defense, Andres Lucero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filomeno Santos. The Copérnico F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Santos should have stopped the shot. Nunez Sazon charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nunez Sazon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes Copérnico F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Sazon. 29 minutes into the match, 0 descensos's Filiberto Remir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Filomeno Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Lucero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andres Lucero took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filomeno Santos. Filomeno Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 36th minute, Anacleto Cisco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Constantino Modestio. The goal made the score 2-4. Constantino Modestio made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Anacleto Cisco sent off a good shot on target. Copérnico F.C.'s Filomeno Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Argi in the 46th minute of play. Igor Dominic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Filomeno Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Siro Argi to strike the kick off in the second half. Filomeno Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Lucero's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Igor Dominic's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Filomeno Santos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Guido Onbera charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guido Onbera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Copérnico F.C.. Anacleto Cisco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Constantino Modestio. 4-4. In the 66th minute, Nunez Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Lucero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filomeno Santos came out and tried to block the shot, but Andres Lucero slotted it home off the left post making it 4-5 in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, 0 descensos's Igor Dominic got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to Copérnico F.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Amadeo Florin hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes Copérnico F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Diego Frans. After 90 played minutes Copérnico F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Mateus. After having played for 91 minutes, Guido Onbera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 0 descensos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Onbera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Canor in the 93rd minute of play forced 0 descensos's goalkeeper Constantino Modestio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Copérnico F.C. defense, Igor Dominic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filomeno Santos. The Copérnico F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Santos should have stopped the shot.
