With an all-out effort, Alzaga FC's Amador Jakue threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Federico Frisco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 4th match minute, Alzaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Urbasa to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Alzaga FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Apolo Cordarryl hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Cristobal Silvanito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Jakue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Martin Rami mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leones FC and the Alzaga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Martin Rami got a free kick in the 12th minute. Amador Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Urbasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Alzaga FC booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Abar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jorge Nesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Nesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Louis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Martin Rami was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. In the 29th minute, Martin Rami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Mundo. If Silverio Hodei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Dante Mannie got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute Alzaga FC were awarded a corner. Emanuel Kinsen went to the cornerflag to take it. Emanuel Kinsen made a great header on Alzaga FC's corner, it was just that Leones FC's Amador Jakue managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jaime Mundo hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Kinsen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leones FC's Amador Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Kinsen in the 63rd minute of play. In the 71st minute, Apolo Cordarryl had to leave the field with a concussion. Alzaga FC's Luciano Brun was substituted for Apolo Cordarryl. In the 73rd match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Louis to maneuver through the defense. Amador Jakue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Kinsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of Alzaga FC booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Jakue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Gilen, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Cristobal Silvanito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Kinsen in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amador Jakue prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leones FC's Jaime Mundo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esteve Abar kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Abelardo Urbasa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alzaga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leones FC the free kick. After 93 played minutes Alzaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Urbasa. There was no doubt that Alzaga FC were the better team. Alzaga FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
