Leones FC's Jaime Mundo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Alejo Louis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Roman Montez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Alejo Louis got a free kick in the 35th minute. Jaime Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Raul Cordarell notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Leones FC's Amador Jakue. Amador Jakue was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Alejo Louis came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Leones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Louis couldn't finish the play. After the first half Villa Mitre were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Alejo Louis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Montez was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Amador Jakue was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Astor Shepherd. Emiliano Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Montez having to interfere. When Alejo Louis came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Leones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Louis couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Leones FC's Alejo Louis fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Ciro Ferdinand hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Roman Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Leones FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Augusto Gaitan scored to the left of an out of position Amador Jakue, making the score, 2-3.
