A nice corner shot did that Maximilian Stößlein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ubaldo Quilino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 22nd minute Hilario Uxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sönke Odenwälder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Sönke Odenwälder got control of the ball when Severino Gaskon tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Severino Gaskon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celestiales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Gaskon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino Gaskon kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Heimko Schober made the kick off in the second half. Ubaldo Quilino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Dohmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Batho König fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ubaldo Quilino, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s David Pieth got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 65th play minutes Heimko Schober shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Ubaldo Quilino and just under the crossbar into goal. Ubaldo Quilino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Dohmen in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heimko Schober in the 71st minute of play forced Celestiales's goalkeeper Ubaldo Quilino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Quilino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximilian Stößlein couldn't finish the play. Ubaldo Quilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heimko Schober, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bruce Pesch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Heimko Schober's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ubaldo Quilino was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Heimko Schober sped through Celestiales's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ubaldo Quilino. When the final whistle sounded SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Celestiales.
