Wilfredo Ebardo started the match with the kick off. Marcelo Brion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Ebardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Havier in the 4th minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th match minute, Forever Tango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Mikolas to maneuver through the defense. When Blas Havier came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Forever Tango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blas Havier couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Josef Müller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Keylor Navas. NECKER49's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josef Müller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Blas Havier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Keylor Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keylor Navas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blas Havier's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The supporters of NECKER49 booed when Forever Tango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Forever Tango's Blas Havier got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remigio Astudillo took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Brion. Marcelo Brion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Keylor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, NECKER49 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Kaxen to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 44 minutes, Josef Müller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forever Tango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josef Müller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

NECKER49's Aristides Castel was substituted for Higinio Ledesma. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Blas Havier was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Blas Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Blas Havier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forever Tango's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Havier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keylor Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blas Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Josef Müller who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Keylor Navas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Forever Tango getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gualterio Mikolas hit a great ball. If Blas Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blas Havier during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of NECKER49 booed when Forever Tango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Brion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Muñoz in the 75th minute of the match. Marcelo Brion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Godoy in the 77th minute of play. Gualterio Mikolas charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gualterio Mikolas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Forever Tango's Gualterio Mikolas got a free kick in the 85th minute. Marcelo Brion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Muñoz in the 88th minute of play. Alejo Kaxen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 played minutes Forever Tango got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Vargas. When Ciro Quinton fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forever Tango's protests and gave Ciro Quinton a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Quinton hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Alvaro Godoy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelo Brion. Forever Tango's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
