Ruben Esdras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Zheng Chao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Seber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruben Esdras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anders Westerstrand went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Adriano Ribeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Esdras. La Guardia Imperial's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriano Ribeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Adriano Ribeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruben Esdras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano Ribeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. La Guardia Imperial's Ruben Esdras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Ribeiro in the 32nd minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, La Guardia Imperial's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Ribeiro came free, but Ruben Esdras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Esdras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Ribeiro in the 43rd minute of the match. Ruben Esdras came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Adriano Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano Ribeiro was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, La Guardia Imperial's Ruben Esdras got control of the ball when Adriano Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The The Obscurials fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-14. Ruben Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrance Grandison in the 93rd minute of play.
