SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Calixto in the 3rd minute of play. Tom Colling made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Cirilo Urki sent off a good shot on target. Niklas Sauter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kazimír Kuthan went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute Kazimír Kuthan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Fågelmara IK's Amadeo Calixto fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Niklas Sauter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimír Kuthan, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute Amadeo Calixto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cirilo Urki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Fågelmara IK's Tom Colling got control of the ball when Cirilo Urki tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Kazimír Kuthan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Junior Adamu got free with Tom Colling in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fågelmara IK's Kazimír Kuthan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Niklas Sauter in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Tom Colling successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Junior Adamu to make the kick off. Niklas Sauter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kazimír Kuthan in the 51st minute. Cirilo Urki took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Colling. Tom Colling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witold Lepucki got free with Niklas Sauter in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cirilo Urki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Colling having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Fågelmara IK's Witold Lepucki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niklas Sauter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jack Bank made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Cirilo Urki. The throw-in from Fabinho Coutinho in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Hartwig Kuhn. Fågelmara IK's Kazimír Kuthan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 93rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 96th minute Alberto Chikeev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Fågelmara IK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fågelmara IK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
